The greater mercy
our mission
With nature as our greatest resource and guide, The Greater Mercy (TGM) provides educational, experiential, and transformational opportunities for the mind, body, and spirit. In partnership and collaboration with our community, we provide programs and services that support mental wellbeing and cultivate courageous leaders.
Our Vision
It is our vision to create and strengthen community connections within the context of our interdependent nature. In order to meet the evolving needs, our vision is a community vision shaped by intergenerational voices, committed partnerships, deep listening, and compassionate response.
Our Work
With a focus on mental health and wellness, we provide support to our school community and the community at-large. We offer the difference, meeting the needs and filling the gaps in services and systems so that there is more balance and stability during this time of transition and transformation. Since Fall 2025, we now have offices and offer sliding-scale mental health services.
The Greater Mercy promotes mental health and wellness through programs that support those seeking mental wellness and those providing it. For details, please visit Our Work page.
In The News
The Greater Mercy is excited to announce the Mother Tree Project, our mental health and wellness program that serves all members of the community, offering sliding-scale fees for clients with limited resources. Our case managers work with each client to ensure the best fit with a professional mental health care practitioner in our group or through our extended network of providers.
The Greater Mercy now has office spaces in Wimberley. We have been able to establish an office space and the Mother Tree Project through the generous contributions from our community through Connection is Key: A Suicide Awareness Event, individual and corporate donors, and grant funding.
